Coventry Cathedral - Coventry, West Midlands

St Michael's, Coventry's cathedral since 1918, was built between 1375 to 1500 and redeveloped in 1951-62 following the bombing of Coventry in 1940. 

The Charred Cross in the ruins, and the words 'Father Forgive'. In 1940, the Reverend Arthur Wales took three medieval nails from the smoldering bombed roof timbers and wired them together into the shape of a cross. These can now be seen within the large gilded cross on the alter
